Monkey Town's 4-screen theater space has a distinctive sense of space - a wide open square floor bounded by immersive projections, with the ceiling discretely presiding above.

This cubic configuration provides the creative direction for this program, a diverse collection of video works with the cube as the predominant motif and subject. Creative approaches will span installation, performance, narrative and animation.

This program is conceived as an experiment, examining cubes from within a cube, exploring imaginary architecture and discovering imagination responding to this most minimal and bare symbol. The results will be found at the screening — we're excited to see how it unfolds.
